Rambling Updates…
It’s been a long time since my last post (well, so called automated post from delicious.com
). As far as I remembered, I failed to fulfill one of my resolutions, to blog regularly. Turns out, it is hard
I adore all of you (especially Budi Putra), who makes Blogging as his main job. Well, I realized that I am not a good writer. I always let my let-just-say-thoughts flying away along the way, and I ended hitting rock when I am trying to remember it. I guess I am getting old now
.
Let’s see.. What’s new in life? Well, a lot actually. My main resolutions is finally moving, thank god it moves to right direction
. Hopefully, everything will work as planned. I also purchased a new mobile number, dedicated for Internet access (with not so fast, but better than nothing). It means, I can access everything related with FOSS. As my office’s blocks access to git port and IRC channels, now I can start on my plan to contribute to FOSS world. Google, I am coming
Worklife also quite changed. Since we are trying to reach CMM Level 3, I was ordered to learn Software Quality Assurance process. I was very excited, because SQA plays big role in determining your software’s quality. It is a big challenge since I am new to this, but fortunately my team members are very helpful. Looking forward to be the pain in the developer’s arse LOL. Learning SQA also leads me to some great tools. At the moment, we are switching our SCM from Subversion to Mercurial (in slow progress), setting up ReviewBoard server for reviewing code and considering Hudson for our Continous Integration. Wish us luck then.
So the summary is, life’s been good. Another challenge is ahead of us. But, that which does not kill us makes us stronger. B-)
